The most influential employers’ organisation in South Africa is looking for a Legal Advisor to join our Cape Town office.

We are seeking to employ an organized, service orientated Legal Advisor that is both a team player and a star individual performer.

Minimum requirements:

LLB degree - preference will be given to an admitted attorney
Litigation experience and / or experience in the field of Employment Law
Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure
Strong, confident personality
Self-reliant with a high level of integrity and accountability
Valid drivers’ licence and own reliable transport

Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

Representing members in litigation at the CCMA, Bargaining Councils and Labour Court
Chairing negotiations and meetings with trade unions, disciplinary and incapacity enquiries, retrenchment consultations, etc.
Telephonic and email advice to members
Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and procedures
Recruitment of members
