Job Overview
The Application Support Agent will collaborate with other internal team members and is responsible for solving a variety of operational aspects of the application platform cluster. Responsibilities will include the development, maintenance and implementation of all technical assistance documentation, reporting and controlling elements thereof, including client support as required. The most successful resume should highlight qualifications like computer systems expertise, applications proficiency, customer service orientation, problem solving skills, attention to details.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
Providing telephonic support to clients 24/7. After hours and weekends is cycled between agents.
Maintenance of technical and support assistance documentation.
Triangulating off support incidents between client and team.
Assistance in retrieval of data for clients.
Assistance in restarting of various services if required.
Assistance sign off process with new software development.
Higher certificate (Matric)
Demonstrable knowledge in solving technical problems, no fixed term experience required.
Previous production system (application) support work.
Application monitoring and support experience beneficial.
Working knowledge of MySQL and MySQL debugging.
Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems would be beneficial.
Methodical approach to work.
Understanding of Incident management.
Ability to learn and master employer-specific software.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software
