Event Coordinator

A fundraising events company is looking to employ an on-site school based event coordinator with a strong focus on database engagement and detailed strategic event planning. He/she will be required to actively keep an existing current database up to date with events in all areas of the globe, plan conference/corporate styled event focussed weekends.

Requirements
A higher degree or diploma is preferable.
Experience in events and/or banqueting is critical.
Must be proficient in report writing and written communications.
Must be very strong with administration and meticulous attention to detail.
Energetic, positive personality.
Good communication skills, written and oral.
Excellent skills/proficiency in basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office in particular Excel advanced skills.
Must be able to multitask and work on various projects at the same time – therefor time management is critical.
Candidate must be detailed orientated.
Proficient in English – read, write and speak.
Candidate must be able to work under pressure – working well towards tight deadlines due to the nature of the business.

People skills and interaction with clients necessary.
Candidate must be able to work in a small business environment where at times it may be necessary to do tasks beyond the job description.
Person must be able to work with a team.
Travelling for events depending on location might be required from time to time.
