Main purpose of the job

Provide counseling, care, screening, enrolment and follow up of participants on the study

Key performance areas

To recruit and enroll eligible participants for the study
To complete and maintain Case Report Documents (CRF’s)
To set up and maintain participant source documents
To collect specimens as per protocol
Provide HIV testing and Counselling
Ensure that lab specimens are collected and taken to the laboratory timeously
Ensure that laboratory results are signed by the medical officer and filed correctly
Required minimum education and training

Qualified as a Enrolled Nurse
Driving License (must be able to drive)
Computer Literacy
GCP Training
Professional body registration

Registered with the South African Nursing Council
Required minimum work experience

One year Clinical Research experience
Pediatric and Phlebotomy experience
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities

Ability to lead and work independently as well as be part of a multidisciplinary team
A friendly, informal attitude with excellent people skills
Ability to speak in local languages
Ability to work well under pressure
Willingness to work on weekend
