PriceCheck is looking for an Email Marketer to support the Chief Marketing Officer in the strategic planning, implementation & maintenance of all email marketing and CRM content across PriceCheck, PriceCheck Property and PriceCheck Cars.

Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities:


Together with the broader marketing team, you will be responsible for proactively researching and evaluating existing email solutions to assist with the development of the Email Marketing Strategy.
Customer acquisition and retention

Assist with new partnerships and campaigns to drive brand awareness and generate new leads
Assist in the monitoring of email database size and interactions - list size, open rates, clicks, conversions etc.
Responsible for selecting and assistance in segmenting email audiences to achieve optimal results
Soft marketing efforts to improve brand positioning, brand awareness and retain the various customer segments
Planning and co-ordination of email marketing:

Manage the email marketing calendar in collaboration with broader marketing and sales team
Accurate and timeous briefing, design, coding and deployment of emails
Project management and cross department collaboration
Quality control
Design and coding:

Responsible for conceptualizing, coding and execution of email campaigns
Strong understanding of HTML & CSS (particularly for coding emails)
Proven knowledge of building responsive emails with deep understanding of media queries
Ability to write engaging copy to engage and promote brand recognition
Knowledge of design principles particularly within e-commerce
Perform campaign-specific testing to validate functional and rendering performance of email campaigns

Knowledge and experience in implementing UTM’s for tracking email campaigns
Monitor the campaign post-deployment to validate completion and communicate accordingly
Advise on strategies and ways to improve tracking in order to gain better insights with regards to every aspect of the email campaign
Analytics & Reporting:

Knowledge and experience in Google Analytics
Understand objectives and assist in determining the relevant KPI's and methods for measuring these objectives
Weekly analyse and reporting on the performance of all email activity, identifying insights and recommendations for continued improvement

Education and Experience:

Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)
Relevant tertiary education
Minimum of 2+ years in an email marketing role
Experience within an e-commerce environment preferrable
Essential skills, behaviour and knowledge required:

An understanding of digital marketing and a holistic approach in consumer engagement
Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
Previous experience with enterprise level email automation tools (Mailchimp, Sendy)
Knowledge of current email best practices & understanding of responsive email development
Strong analytical and numerical ability, with a passion for using data to inform decision making
Deadline driven
Previous experience with Google Analytics
Ability to work under pressure and tight time constraints
Ability to think strategically and commercially
Attention to detail and brand consistency
