CONTROLLER - SECURITY CLEANING AND GARDENING
A well established diagnostic pathology organisation is looking for a controller to establish and maintain standard operating procedures for security, cleaning and gardening services to increase efficiency of labour.
Accountable for the overall provision of the Security, cleaning and gardening services operations.
This includes the effective management of all Security, cleaning and gardening services in order to fulfil all service requirements.
Manage the security shift rosters to ensure an efficient service
Investigate relevant incidents in order to determine the cause so that necessary action be taken
Conduct detailed inspection of Security points, offices, guest rooms, public areas and gardening to ensure compliance with the standards of excellence, health, sanitation standards and regulations, to achieve a high level of employee satisfaction.
Provide detailed reports on all operations within the department .
Manage access control for all facilities to ensure a safe operations and environment .
Manage and oversee all Security operations in line with SOPβs
Participate in the recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions and discipline or dismissal measure
Providing interactive and engaging training and coaching to the teams, improving personal and professional development of all staff, whilst supporting career progression.
Ensure proper communication within the department by conducting regular meetings with the staff.
Minimum requirements & key competency:
Grade 12
National Certificate in General Management/Security Management (desirable)
Registered with PSIRA as Grade B Security .Availability for 24 hour stand-by .
7 yearsβ experience in Facilities Environment including Security .
3 years Supervisory experience in facilities environment or similar position including Security .
Practical Experience in security .
Knowledge of management of Security, Cleaning and gardening services .
Knowledge of security products e.g.CCTV, alarms, fire detection, access and asset monitoring Knowledge of Cleaning and Hygiene materials
Knowledge of Gardening and equipment .Understanding of management of contracts (desirable)
